Our Team
Our team consists of several skilled employees/carpenters (who work directly for the company), combined with a collection of local craftsmen/subcontractors, i.e. masons, excavators, plumbers, insulators, etc. We have a lot of experience working with each other, which helps to avoid typical situations that result in project delays. Our subcontractors are licensed and insured, allowing us to guarantee a professional job with no risk to you.

Our History
Geoffrey H. Richon has been in the building trade for 37 years. He is a licensed Construction Supervisor, heavy equipment operator, and real estate broker. His involvement in the local community is extensive and varied. He was instrumental in the development of low cost housing for the elderly in Rockport, is founder of the Gloucester Maritime Heritage Center, the Director of "Moore's Way" (a local Sober House program for adults in recovery), a co-founder of the Gloucester Stage Company, an advocate for saving local historic landmarks, and the list goes on. Geoff brings to the table a complete knowledge of Gloucester and its people and government, numerous personal connections from every segment of the population, and an unshakable optimism and vision regarding the city.

New Construction
New Construction services include sighting, permitting, purchasing, design consulting, construction, and contracting. Every step of the construction process is crucial to the final product. To us new construction is a well defined linear process that starts as an idea in the head of the homeowner and ends in a livable, workable space that accommodates a modern lifestyle.

Design Services
While we do not offer design services directly, we can point you in the direction of very competent and qualified architects and designers. We like to treat the design and architecture process as completely separate from the building process to ensure that there are checks and balances in place to ensure an esthetically pleasing and well-engineered final result. Our approach during the building process is to be as flexible as possible to overcome design problems that arise during the construction process, and we work closely with architects and designers to make sure that construction problems are resolved with realistic and accomodating solutions.

Commercial Solutions
One of our specialties is commercial construction management. Our focus is on understanding the needs that are unique to your project, and planning and coordinating construction accordingly. Over the past thirty five years we have forged strong relationships with our suppliers and subcontractors to place their collective expertise at our disposal. Our experience in the commercial and retail markets allows us to provide expert technical insight and construction management skills for our customers.

Heavy Equipment
Heavy equipment is an integral part of most construction projects. Over the years, we have acquired many such machines, including a crane. Because our machinery is often not in full-time use, we offer to rent it out. Call us for hourly/daily/weekly rates on our equipment and operators.
